Falling.
Connor and I end up doing a lot of spur of the moment photo experiments, like this one, falling. It's fun to work with flash fall off, it allows for some really cool, stark images. See more after the break.

The New Electric Sound
Last Saturday I headed down to Velour, Provo's most prestigious music venue, to listen to my good friends Brandon and Mark of The Moth & The Flame. My affection for their music is another blog post all together, but I was also able to hear The New Electric Sound for the first time. I'm pretty neutral about most of their music, but this video, and this song are great, especially as a whole. Provo, Utah is really putting itself on the map for producing talented, creative young people.

This is an article I wrote for HEX Magazine on an incredible local radio station run by a cool group of high school students.
Island Park Pt.3
The sunset in Yellowstone is a lovely thing, especially when I get to enjoy it with the two very best parents in the whole world.

Island Park Pt.2
During one of our days in Island park, we traveled north to the legendary Yellowstone to visit our favorite places in west (including Arrowleaf for ice cream) and to look for photo-worthy scenery and some wild buffalo. Fortunately, we were successful on all counts.

Island Park
A long time ago, years before I was born, my uncle and his father built a cabin tucked deep into the crater of an ancient volcano. Island Park is one of the most beautiful pieces of the country, thick with trees and bears and for me, family. In the years since the old cabin was built, our family has grown a lot, and a new cabin holds us all now. A few weeks ago we enjoyed views of the forest, the lake, and even a few neighboring cows. We even spotted a black bear off of the back porch. Besides watching the wildlife, I also got to spend lots of time hold a sweet new baby cousin.

HEX Magazine
These are HEX Magazine. Every week editor Clark Goldsberry, myself, and our editor, Brette Richmond work tirelessly to pull articles, creative writing, design, and photography together into a cohesive publication. This semester we've had three issues. Our debut, A Farewell to Summer, and the Renaissance issue. Clark and I both write articles each week and take most (if not all) of the photos. 16 pages of newsprint seems like a small task, but it's a huge work of heart. We all work hard and love the result every monday. If you'd like to see more visit our site here, or follow us here, or here.

Park City
The staff of the UVU Review hit the streets of Park City for our newspaper retreat. We were able to experience some great speakers and some pretty sub-par food.
