Little wild horse is a well-known hike for those who
frequent Southern Utah. Its narrow passages weave fluidly through the high
sandstone, reminiscent of ancient ocean trenches. It is amazing how beautifully
the desert remembers the wind and water that have passed through it. The walls
are cool and smooth, marked with winding curves. The canyons have an incredible
prehistoric quality that draws a primitive but revitalizing sense of survival
from its inhabitants. The desert has a way of reminding us that we are fragile
and powerful and alive.
