Brothers
The thirtieth of 52 portraits of my family in 2014.

The brothers hang out (pose) on the curb before going to dinner.

I had to promise the boys that my mom would pay for a dessert if they would sit on the curb and look at the camera.

Jace Hunts for Bears
The twenty-eighth of 52 portraits of my family in 2014.

A portrait series of Jace while in Island Park looking for bears.

How could I choose just one photo when I can basically illustrate a children's book with the batch?

K.O.D.I.
The twenty-seventh of 52 portraits of my family in 2014.

Kodi giving Afton a goodbye hug after our afternoon in the canyon.

Kodi is the most graceful person I've ever known. She is consistently beautiful from her physical appearance down to her core. She is patient, mature, thoughtful, and nurturing beyond her age. I'd be a much better person if I had even half of her poise.
I love and admire you, little lady.

P.S. At first I felt like this photo wasn't as "good" as I wanted it to be. The lighting and composition isn't what I normally look for when I'm choosing a weekly portrait, but I've grown to really love this photo. I think it captures Kodi's lovely personality well.

Dad
The twenty-sixth of 52 portraits of my family in 2014.

Dad in golden sunset light down by the lake.

I flagged this photo to be a weekly portrait the moment I saw it. I love this expression.
My sweet pa (a new name for him that I've adopted lately).
